In an effort to enhance communication between the Board and the public, the Board will hold regular, informal community forums for one-half hour prior to every Board meeting (October through May). At least two board members will attend the forum. These forums are designed as listening opportunities for the Board, and are an effort to promote ongoing conversations between Board members and the public regarding the Urbandale Community School District. The Board invites all the members of our community to attend these community forums so that we may continue to progress toward our goal of providing the best education possible to the students in our district.

(Note: The community forums, while facilitating discussion between the Board and the public, are not designed for resolving formal complaints or for making final decisions on any matter. Established Board policy will continue to apply, and final action on any issue will only be taken by the administration and the Board. Issues raised at community forums cannot be added to that evening's Board agenda because of the Open Meetings Law, but they may be referred to a Board committee for future discussion by the Board.)
